Loving Yourself Is Just as Important
A lot of times I used to catch myself staring in the mirror not happy with what I saw. Thinking to myself I’m the only one that is going to be able to do something about this… Not my partner, kids, parents, or friends, me and only me could do something. Yes they can be there in spirit and encourage me to reach my goals, but they physically can’t help me. When you think about it at the end of the day you are always going to have yourself. This is why it’s so important to take care of the body you get.
So what did I do, I decided it was time for a change and to start taking care of myself. I would start to eat healthier, workout 3-4 times a week, and maybe even read a book. I immediately started to notice a change in my mental and physical health. I started to love myself. At this moment I was starting to come to peace with myself. I wasn’t getting upset over what the scale was saying, whether it was going up or down.
Did my pants fit better? YES!
Did I have more self confidence? YES!
Was I happier? ABSOLUTELY!
At the end of the day, these little changes can make a big difference in the way you see yourself! It is better to start earlier than later, but the first step is being honest with yourself. Figure out what YOU want for YOU! Remember this is a choice you’re going to have to make for you. This may not happen today or tomorrow, this is a process. The earlier you start the sooner you begin the journey of self-love.
