Our goal by doing CrossFit (constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity) is to increase our area under the curve; to increase our work capacity. 

Fitness is easily measurable, observable, and repeatable. Performing constantly varied functional movements at high intensity (CrossFit) will increase fitness.
